I would like to open a hair salon in NC. I am not an actual stylist, but I would like to hire licensed professionals. What kind of building/business licenses will I need to get? How do I find out what my state regulations are?How do I go about opening a hair salon?

First be sure u don't spend too much money for stupid stuff. Let's say it will be a good salon(I mean not too cheap but not expensive either). Don't use too much money on things u will need in large amounts, shampoo for example. U will use it to wash the customer's hair, and since u will have a lot of customers and u will need lots of it. So if u buy too expensive shampoo like Frederic Fekkai for example, u won't have enough money to afford more important things for the salon. But still not aussie and stuff.





Same with conditioners, but u can spend more money on them. Not too much. But they should be good quality. And tested on people who u know.





Spend as much cash as u want on the hairdressers. They r the key to success of your salon. They should be professionals, doesn't matter if they don't have experience. They should get their work seriously, but be nice to the customers and talk to the. They should be communicative, so the people like them.





Also don't be afraid to spend on the anterior. It is what people see first, and it will, together with everything, send your salon to a higher category. So it should be warm and nice.





Good curling and straightening irons, not too strong blow-driers with not too high heat, strong styling cremes and nice repairing products. It's up to u too choose the brand and kind of thing u want.





The salon can NEVER be located at a too dark place or a place people don't visit a lot.
