Is it possible to work at a hair salon without your cosmetology licenses?

I am looking into going to cosmetology school. I need to save money first. I was wondering even though I dont have my licenses if I can still work in a salon. Like as a secretary, schedule appointments, check people out, sweep and clean. I figured working in a salon would be a great opportunity to learn things while goin to school. Absolutely! If you know a few people who work in salons you should ask if you could work there. I did it long time ago. I know a young girl now who washes our hair, put color in, blow dry, etc.....So definitely start asking around. You may want to start with the owner or manager of the salon. Tell them about your ambitious and goals. I'm sure they will be willing to work something out. If one person says no, then don't give up - keep trying. Sure you can, Just can't cut hair and whatnot. You don't have to save up money, though. Cosmetology Schools have Finacial aid, that will help you pay for the tuition.%26lt; Just thought I'd tell you.
