How come my hair salon only accepts cash tips?

Is this so they can embezzle the government? You know, say that they only received a 5% tip when they actually received 20%? Or do they have to pay more for a credit card machine that has a tipping function?How come my hair salon only accepts cash tips?
Your hair salon most likely a small business that can't afford a full time bookkeeper and is expecting the stylist to keep track of their own tips. There are bookkeeping programs that are made for hair salons, but this business doesn't sound too high-tech.
