Are there any hair salons that cater to 3 yr old black girl in Philadelphia or surround Philly?

I have a three year old daughter in which I am looking for a salon or somewhere that can cater to the needs of a black girl. Preferably in the city of Philadelphia or surrounding counties. My wife is pregnant and getting to the point that she can no longer do my baby girl's hair on a weekly basis.





I am looking for somewhere that will wash, style or platt/braid her hair on a weekly basis. Also some where that can give a suggestion on how to keep her hair moist so that she does not sweat it out and make it dry thus harder to deal with.Are there any hair salons that cater to 3 yr old black girl in Philadelphia or surround Philly?
My advice? Go to a ';ethnic'; barber shop and ask them to suggest a good salon that specializes mainly in ethnic hair - it's not a racial thing, but most salons cater to certain hair types because not all stylists are trained to work on all types of hair or to do all types of hair styles.


Really, most barber shops have a licensed braider, but in most states, if you arent a licensed barber or cosmetologist, you can't wash or style a client's hair. A braider can ONLY braid or give similar styles so if you found a shop with one, you'd have to wash your little girls hair before she went.


I'm sorry I can't be more helpful - I'm from south Mississippi and it's just really easy to find mixed salons, ethnic salons, or caucasian salons, and barber shops here...Are there any hair salons that cater to 3 yr old black girl in Philadelphia or surround Philly?
