so there's this lady that has been working at hair salons without cosmetology license but was fired because she stole the owners customers. She now runs her ';hair salon'; at her home but has no salon license nor cosmetology license and is not properly sanitizing anything.

Invest in a GREAT conditioner, you will definantly need it. And don't skip trims, as the bleached hair is damaged and will need to be kept up.

Lol i know this sounds stupid but i really really need to get some highlights and my hair cut.
But i hate going to the salon! There's always this really awkward silence between me and the lady who is doing my hair. She will sometimes ask me questions and then i will answer but i don't know what questions to ask her. So basically I'm bad at keeping conversations going you know?
So it's embarrassing and i want to make an appointment but I'm to nervous. Any advice?

If she asks questions just answer but dont answer in a way that will keep her going...thats if you really dont want to talk. And if you do want to talk, then question to her about hairstyles...like what products is good for your style...or how you could take care of your hair....stuff like that =]

See, i bought this product Sun in, it uses hydrogen peroxide and my hair went pretty light but it had a tint of orange to it so i dyed it darker and the color faded back to the hideous orange honey color ut my natural roots have come out there about 2 or 3 inches out but how long would it take to get my hair color back??? and also my hair is past my shoulders. and my second question is, will my natural hair color come back exactly the same??How long will it take to grow out my natural hair color back?

On 241 street (Bronx) next to post office there is a nice hair salon. Also there is one who knows what they are doing on white plains road after 242 street before mount veron (bronx) that does a good job. However their English is poor....
Sorry hun, but I don't think there is such thing as a higher class of salon in that northern area of NYC. But you don't need the higher class just need to find out people who seem to know what they are doing. You should walk in to some tell them your hair is damage and ask them to show you what products they use for damage hair, and if it doesn't look like they know what they are doing / talking about go to next place.
Also last thing if you find out what are the products those good salons use in your hair you can just buy it and bring it to the hair dresser.
- Oh, those places I mention are pretty clean and know what they are doing.

Sorry hun, but I don't think there is such thing as a higher class of salon in that northern area of NYC. But you don't need the higher class just need to find out people who seem to know what they are doing. You should walk in to some tell them your hair is damage and ask them to show you what products they use for damage hair, and if it doesn't look like they know what they are doing / talking about go to next place.
Also last thing if you find out what are the products those good salons use in your hair you can just buy it and bring it to the hair dresser.

With a perm flat-ironing is much easier because you're hair is pretty much straightened already but with a press it's a little more work involved because you have to press your hair first before you flat iron, which means you have to be extra careful not to expose your hair to too much heat and create breakage and dryness.
You will need:
1) A Flat Iron
2) Sectioning Clips
3) Spritz (not hairspray or oil-sheen) or Anti-Frizz Product
4) Tail Comb
5) Blow Dryer
1. Wash Hair (optional: While hair is wet you use a frizz control product)
2. Blow dry hair until hair is 100% dry. You are just removing the moisture, so there is no need to straighten your hair at this point. That comes later. (optional: if you have a seated dryer at home you can braid hair into several braids and sit under the dryer until almost dry. Now you're ready to flat-iron. Be careful, this tool gets very hot!

Bottom line it means business owner, there is a world of difference between possessing the skills required to do a particular task and running a business.
S.c.o.r.e.: is a fantastic organization of retired business owners who voluntarily counsel people wanting to go into business or bring there business to the next level I recommend it highly

This will work on saturdays.
Hire a costume of somethingk to do with hair something that will make people take note of the shop. Get someone were it outside the shop to pull people in. Hand out your leaflets at the same time.
Put a notice in the window saying FREE hair advise it will bring people in.
Have a offer card the 3rd hair cut is free or somtink in that line
in my town, there was an article in the paper about how the owner of the salon would take trades. Like if a regular wanted a dye job, but couldnt afford it, they would have her answer phones and schedule appointments for a few days. or stock shelves, shampoo, sweep.

If you have an oval face then your face is slightly narrow at the jaw line and you have a rounded hairline (forehead is wider than the chin). You also have prominent cheekbones.
Because your face is well proportioned and balanced, you have the ideal face structure and can wear just about any hairstyle. Wispy bands and one length hair looks best on you. Be sure to avoid high volume hair because it can make your face appear long.

The only option left is be to buy normal electric heaters to heat throughout the day.
There's no point in buying 'efficient' or 'cheap to run' heaters as all heaters are 100% efficient - it's just that you only get out what you put in.
So a 1kw heater will cost 12p per hour and a 3kw heater will cost 36p per hour. But the question is will a 1kw heater be enough to keep you warm?

every time i go to get my hair cut, even when i bring a picture, my hair dresser does something different. I have gone to a few places and was wondering if you know of a salon that does good scene hair cuts. Like if you have gone there and really liked the outcome. plumbing already hooked up. I would have to add a bathroom paint the walls, tile the floor, get electric work done such as a 220 line, and cover the beams in the ceiling if possible. Okay...if we are talking 'cheap'.... without 'looking cheap... here we go....
Only tile the bathroom floor... not the entire basement.
Make the bathroom look like a mini-spa. Bathrooms say a lot about a place.
As far as the floor of the basement goes... paint it... or stain it. You will incur sooo much expense if you try to tile the entire basement floor. Just avoid it. Painted cement... and stained cement looks very sharp. It can be nearly any color you want and it is very durable. It is just going to be getting hair on it anyway.
Add some big fluffy throw rugs placed strategically throughout the basement to define the seating area or the reception area. This will add warmth and style to the salon.
If you have sliding glass doors or windows... make sure they are always open to allow as much natural light to enter the area as possible.
For the ceiling.... definitely a 'drop ceiling' is the cheapest way to go. This is where you get the ceiling tiles that lay up in a network of metal framework. This enables the electricity to be run through everything very easily.
Lighting will be your biggest challenge. Make sure to give thought to where it is the 'darkest' in your basement... and where you will be working the most. You will need GREAT lighting to keep it from looking like a dungeon down there.

She went back to her stylist and he tried to put more in and that made it look even more tragic. She eventually had to take them all out and start over. Like I told her you get what you pay for. . .She found a stylist she liked on citysearch.com She ended up spending over $2500!! But she loved them the second time around.

She went back to her stylist and he tried to put more in and that made it look even more tragic. She eventually had to take them all out and start over. There are lots of great hair salons in the Atlanta area. I get my hair color/cut at Paragon Salon. I've never had extensions done here but I have seen other people get their hair extensions done. Do both the salon and the worker get penalized, or is it just the employee? My daughter was hired as an ';assistant';. She was supposed to be washing towels, sweeping, etc.. Yes, they're just washing your hair with shampoo twice. It's recommended that you do that anyway, as the 1st shampoo only takes certain parts of the dirt off your hair. You'll find if you shampoo it a second time, you'll create more of a lather and your hair will therefore be cleaner afterwards. Clean hair should squeak if you run your fingers down it when wet.

Scrunch it while its damp and use curling mousse all over it along with scrunching spray.
When your hair is wet, put a little amount of mousse on it WITHOUT srunching it. Then tie your hair in braids, the bigger the wave the bigger the braid. But if you want smaller waves or curls all at once do sections of braids when its damp, go to bed and when its dry take it out put serums and spray in it etc. It will it come out more wavy than curly.
If you cant braid well, you can do tiny buns all at once. When hair is damp, like before put a TINY bit of mousse in it without scrunching it. Then in small sections twirl the hair peice in a tiny bun at the top. Keep doing this to all of the peices to your hair. My aunt has a hair salon and I'm going to buy her a PC to make everything easier for her. I want to develop a nice looking software that will make making appointments and all of that stuff easier. I want to make this over the summer. I haven't had much experience with developing software before. I'm not going to distribute this to the public, just personal use for my aunt. So you know your not walking into someone who just got out of beauty school. My ';master'; stylists name is Alex she knows exactly what would look good with my skin color, face shape, and what products work best in my hair. I trust everything she does!

At the end of the summer, My mom promised me she would take me to the hair salon and the nail salon. I have auburn hair already but i want the color and style as Ashlee Simpson's new red hair. for your hair color, i would definitely bring a picture of what you want. its alot easier for your stylist to see what you want than listen to you describe it. for your nails i would go with either a light, almost sheer pink ( it will look nice if you got a nice summer tan), or you can go with a fall color like deep red, or burgundy.
