What is the process when you bleach your hair in a hair salon?

I have natural dark brown hair (never dyed or bleached before) and I want to go blonde.What is the process when you bleach your hair in a hair salon?
It should take really great, as long as you don't have yellow undertones in your skin.



They mix powdered bleach with developer, and glop it on your head. It takes the color from brown to orange to pink to yellow to that beautiful light blonde. The darker your hair, the longer it will take. I have seen it take 3 hours before.



Invest in a GREAT conditioner, you will definantly need it. And don't skip trims, as the bleached hair is damaged and will need to be kept up.

ok if your is that dark your only going to lift about 4 shades lighter than you already are, and thats using a 40volume with bleach. you may however lighten up more than 4 shades maybe past a caramel goin into a dark blonde. how blonde do you want to go?
