no. Dominicans are great for straightening natural hair (even though they really prefer perms). the Dominican culture DOES NOT LIKE kinky hair. I'm not judging them, it's just the way things are in the DR. i would just try to find a natural hair care shop, because even if they blow dry your hair straight (and usually do a great job) all that heat is very damaging, and they know no other styles
