Can hair salons do temporary highlights that wash out?

I have dark brown hair and am not interested of repeatedly getting highlight touch ups to my hair. Do you guys know if its possible that a salon can do temporary highlights that wash out? Again, I have dark hair and want highlights like this:

No, it's impossible. Once you lighten your hair in any way, it's permanent. You could buy some light hair extensions to make it look like you highlights. Sally's beauty sells them.Can hair salons do temporary highlights that wash out?
If you have dark hair, no probably not. Wash out dye works best on lighter hair colors. It takes strength to have any effect on dark hair and any product that does would probably be permanent.
